What is the AWS Cloud Club PUP?

We're The First AWS Cloud Club In The Philippines! It is a Student Organization At PUP that Teaches Cloud Computing And AWS.

Who can join the AWS Cloud Club?

All Pupians Students Can Join, Especially From PUP Sta. Mesa! No tech experience required.

Is there a membership fee?

No! It's 100% Free. All Workshops, Events, And Resources Are Free For Members.

Do I need a technical background to join?

NO! We welcome students from ALL majors. If you're curious about technology, you're welcome here.

How do I secure a slot for workshops and events?

Follow our official Meetup page, RSVP to the upcoming event, and wait for official confirmation email for your slot.

Note: Members who are part of a Skill Builder Department receive priority consideration for slot allocation.

SBD Membership

What are Skill Builder Departments?

These are specialized groups within the club where you can focus on specific tech areas. Each department offers workshops and training to help you become an expert in that field.

What departments are available?

We have 7 departments:

  • WEB DEVELOPMENT - Build websites and web apps
  • ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - Learn AI and machine learning
  • DATA SCIENCE AND ANALYTICS - Analyze data and create insights
  • NETWORKING AND SECURITY - Learn cybersecurity and cloud security
  • DATA ENGINEERING - Build data systems and pipelines
  • CLOUD COMPUTING AND INFRASTRUCTURE - Master AWS infrastructure
  • INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT) - Connect devices to the cloud
Who can join a Skill Builder Department?

Only AWS Cloud Club members can join departments. You need to be part of the main club first!

Is there a cost to join a department?

NO! Departments are FREE.

What are the requirements to join a department?

All we need is your curiosity and interest! Just be a member of AWSCC PUP first, and you're good to go. No experience or technical background required.

Can I join multiple departments?

We recommend joining only One (1) department per term so you can fully focus and participate. After the term ends, you can explore and join a new department if you want to learn something different!

What do departments offer?

Each department provides technical workshops from beginner to advanced levels, multi-week courses, and hands-on projects where you can apply what you learn. You'll also join study groups with other students, get help preparing for certifications, and attend talks from industry experts in your field.

How do I choose which department to join?

Think about what career path interests you and what technology excites you most. Come to our orientation sessions to learn more about each department, and talk to current members about their experiences. Remember, you can start with one department and try others in the next term!

SBD Head Application

What is an SBD Heads and their responsibilities?

An SBD Head leads a department and manages its activities like workshops, programs, and member engagement. They work with the team to make sure everything aligns with the club's goals. The SBD Head position consists of Department Lead, Co-Lead, and Senior Associate Lead who teach, mentor, and upskill members in their tech field.

Who can apply to become an SBD Head?

Anyone can apply as long as you're willing to teach, upskill, and commit to helping members learn. We're looking for passionate aspiring tech professionals who want to serve the AWSCC community and believe in 'to learn is to teach.'

What are the requirements to apply?

Fill out the application form posted on our social media and submit your personal information and background. Prepare your Portfolio! We'll assess candidates based on merit, relevant certifications, internships, leadership experience, community involvement, projects/portfolio, and communication skills.

What's the application process?

Submit the application form when it opens, attend an official interview where you'll be assessed, then wait for the confirmation email.

Office Crew Membership

What offices are available in AWSCC PUP?

We have seven (7) offices that manage different aspects of the club:

  • Executive Office - Provides overall leadership and strategic direction.
  • Technology Office - Oversees IT infrastructure and software development.
  • Creatives Office - Manages design, branding, and media production.
  • Relations Office - Builds relationships with external partners.
  • Marketing Office - Develops marketing strategies and social media.
  • Programs Office - Organizes and manages all events.
  • Operations Office - Handles logistics and documentation.
Who can apply for office positions?

Any currently enrolled PUP student who is committed and eager to contribute to the club can apply. We welcome passionate students from all year levels, including freshmen.

Can non-members apply for office positions?

Yes, non-members may apply. However, accepted applicants will be required to register as official members of the organization.

Yes! We welcome passionate students from all year levels, including freshmen.

What are the requirements to join an office?

No, they are different. Office positions focus on specific functional areas, while core team members lead initiatives and provide support to the overall direction.

How do I apply for an office position?

Applications open during designated periods announced on our social media pages. Submit the application form, attend the interview, and wait for confirmation.

Can I hold an office position and be an SBD Head at the same time?

This depends on your capacity to manage both responsibilities. We encourage members to assess their availability before taking on multiple leadership roles.
